What Featherday knows about you.
Short version: your email address, the tasks and plans you enter, and which devices you asked for reminders on. Nothing else, and nothing sold.
Who is responsible
Featherday is run by [YOUR LEGAL NAME], a sole proprietor in [PROVINCE], Canada. Questions about this policy, or requests about your data, go to [CONTACT EMAIL].
What is stored
- Your account. Your email address and a password you set, held by Amazon Cognito. Featherday never sees your password.
- Your content. Tasks, notes, completion history, savings plans and preferences, as you enter them.
- Your devices. For each device you enable reminders on, the browser's push address and a label such as "Chrome on Windows", so reminders can reach it.
- Operational logs. Server logs recording that a request happened and whether it failed. They are kept for 30 days.
There is no analytics script, no advertising, and no third-party tracking on the app.
Who processes it
- Amazon Web Services stores the data and runs the service, in the US East (N. Virginia) region.
- Push services run by Google, Apple and Mozilla deliver reminders to your devices. A reminder includes the task's name, so treat task names as visible to your device's push service.
- A payment provider will handle subscriptions when sign-up opens, acting as the seller of record. It receives your email and payment details. Featherday never receives card details.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this website. The app itself loads fonts the same way.
How long it is kept
Your content is kept until you delete it or ask for your account to be closed. Reminder delivery records expire automatically after 35 days. Logs are kept for 30 days.
Getting a copy, or deleting it
Write to [CONTACT EMAIL] and your data will be sent to you, or deleted, within 30 days. Self-service export and account deletion are being built into the app and will replace this request process.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, and stored data is encrypted at rest. Sign-in uses authorization-code flow with PKCE. Reminder signing keys are held in AWS Secrets Manager and never reach the browser.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date above changes and you'll be told in the app before the change takes effect.
