How Featherday works.
The short version: tell it how much time you have, add a few things, and let it decide what today looks like.
Getting started
Sign in, then add a task or choose a starter set. A task has a name, how long it takes, and how often it repeats: a few days a week, on chosen weekdays, a set interval after you last did it, or just once.
Set your daily time allowance in Preferences. Today plans only what fits inside it and lists the rest under "when there's a little more room".
Starter sets
A starter set adds a small group of related tasks: Move more, Eat a little better, Practice an instrument, or Keep the home in shape. You can untick any of them, change the times and how often each repeats, and see the weekly total before adding. Later, removing the set takes out its tasks in one step and keeps your activity history.
Reminders
Reminders are per device. Open Preferences on each phone or computer you want them on, choose Enable notifications on this device, allow the browser's request, then send a test notification and check that device.
- One task arrives at a time. Featherday waits for Done, Later or Skip before sending the next.
- Every device you've connected shares the same pending task.
- Set a start time, quiet hours, and a maximum number of reminders per day.
- Up to five devices. Each browser profile or installed copy counts as one.
- A test that succeeds means the push service accepted it, not that it reached your screen.
On iPhone and iPad
Use iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later. Add Featherday to your Home Screen, open it from that icon, and enable notifications there. Safari tabs can't receive Web Push; the app shows installation instructions instead.
If reminders stop
Choose Reconnect notifications in Preferences. If the device is no longer registered, choose Enable notifications on this device to make a fresh connection. Browser and system notification settings can also delay or silence them.
Set aside
Give a task a cost and the date you need it by, and Featherday spreads that cost evenly from the date you start saving. The Set aside view shows the balance your account should hold today across everything you're planning for. It's a plan, not a bank: Featherday never moves money and has no access to your accounts.

Tasks, savings plans and preferences are private to your account. See the privacy policy for what's stored and who processes it.
